Dr. Denise Nuñez

Dr. Nunez is board certified in general pediatrics as well as board certified in pediatric critical care. She received her medical degree at Pedro Henriquez Urena University in Dominican Republic and completed her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein School of Medicine – Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York. Dr. Nunez completed her fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Albert Einstein College of Medicine were she serves as an assistant professor of pediatrics and trains residents and fellows in pediatrics.
Dr. Nunez, is driven by her passion to provide medical care and relief in areas where health care is limited or difficult. Through missionary trips she has touched the lives of patients and their families in those countries. At the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Dr. Nunez instituted patient- and family-centered care rounds in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit, ensuring that patients and their families are the focus of care and are treated with dignity and respect with consideration of their cultural values.
